SCREEN PRINTING
Silk Screen Printing is the printing technique that Laurie uses to create her Original Artist's Prints.
Laurie's introduction to silk screen printing was during her degree at Edinburgh College of Art, and it was love at first print!
"I enjoy the tangible nature of the process, compared to working digitally. Hand mixing the colours and building up the layers of ink on paper as you print is so satisfying - you see your image slowly coming to life."

TESTIMONIAL
"Laurie provided an excellent screen printing workshop for our Year 9 art students as part of our Activities Week programme 2023. Laurie is clearly an expert in her field; her workshop was well-planned, engaging and allowed our students to produce some outstanding, screen printed designs. It was evident from student feedback that they had thoroughly enjoyed the day and were delighted with the results."

LAURIE'S SCREEN PRINTING JOURNEY...
Laurie's introduction to screen printing was during her degree at Edinburgh College of Art, and it was love at first print. Following this, Laurie gained experience creating prints in numerous studios from Edinburgh Printmakers to Leicester Print Workshop to Print Club London to Peckham Print Studio, picking up tips from screen printing whiz kids and technicians that she encountered along the way.
From the vibrant galleries of the UK and Europe to the digital realm of her online print shop, Laurie's print editions have consistently sold out. Her work has made it’s way into publications such as Silkscreen Masters, Creative Review, Screen Print Basics and Artful.
Today, Laurie predominantly screen prints from her home studio, which she established in 2020. The set up involved designing and building bespoke equipment and clever storage to fit within a compact space. Outside of the print studio, Laurie teaches screen printing workshops in schools, and works as a freelance illustrator.
Laurie has a passion for everything inky; she is always seeking to learn more about screen printing, experiment creatively, improve technique, and produce vibrant work with flair, that people love to have in their homes.
